Nami

Nami is a pirate and the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. She is officially the third member of the crew after defeating Arlong, and the second to join. She briefly betrays the crew during the Baratie Arc and rejoins at the end of the Arlong Arc after her past and true intentions are revealed.
Nami is a young, normal-sized and skinny girl with orange hair. She was the first main character to appear in Episode 1 before Luffy. Many people consider her to be very attractive or even beautiful.[7] She has a blue tattoo[8] on her left shoulder which represents mikan and pinwheels (an homage to both Bell-mère and Genzo, respectively), where she used to have a tattoo for being a member of Arlong's crew.
Nami wears a variety of clothes in the series but her longest lasting outfit is a white and blue striped shirt, an orange mini-skirt and orange high-heeled boots. Nami wears high heels, sandals, or boots in every arc, but her height and posture are not usually affected by the height of her heels. Nami doesn't walk like a regular person in heels, instead she runs while wearing them. She retains her original look until the end of the Captain Kuro Arc, after which she is seen wearing a different outfit for each arc. During the Arlong arc, Nami wore a green cami and her orange high heel sandals; thereafter, Nami wore strappy, high heeled sandals and more revealing outfits (with the tattoo no longer being a secret). Nami wore a blue bikini, maroon trousers, and orange high heel sandals for the Skypiea arc. In the city of Water 7,she wore a maroon cami, a white mini-skirt, and orange high heel sandals. Then she changed to black high heel gladiator sandals during the Enies Lobby arc, along with a brown clevage-revealing jacket and a blue mini-skirt. While on Thriller Bark , she wore a pink blouse, a brown skirt, and brown high heel boots. She later wore a wedding dress and white high heel pumps with her dress. She seemed to have abandoned the sandals for high-heeled boots as of Chapter 435 but she started using sandals again at the end of Thriller Bark arc. She usually pairs her tops with skirts that have rings on them. For the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, Nami wore a orange shirt, white short shorts, and high heel sandals. Nami's clothes consisted of a pink shirt, short jean shorts, and high heels for the Straw Hat Separation Arc.
Her overall physique matured suddenly (though this is, most likely, a simple change in style of artwork). Her fashion frequently changes as does her hair style. Many of her shirts feature four-letter words, such as "MODE", "GOLD", or "EVIL", similar to a shirt that Bell-mère once wore that had "MACE" on it. On her left arm she wears the Log Pose, which she needs in order to be the navigator of the ship, and a yellow bracelet, given to her by her sister, Nojiko.[9] She was also seen wearing glasses during the Skypiea arc.
In SBS Volume 6, Oda said, according to Sanji, her measurements were 86-57-86 cm = 34-22-34". The author has also replied to a fan's question saying that right now Nami's measurements are as follows:
  • Measurements (B-W-H): 95-55-85 cm = 37-21-33"
He specified in a later SBS that Nami's under-bust size is 65 cm, making her breasts an I-cup in Japan, or an F-cup in the US. However, her breasts seem to grow into and then "reset" throughout the arcs (this is much more obvious in the manga and in one of the movies).[10] Oda has also said that Nami resembles a cat, that the color orange represents her, and that she smells of mikan and money.[11][12]
After the two year timeskip, Nami's hair has grown rather long, reaching down to her lower back. Her breasts have also grown larger and rounder, like Robin's, but apart from this her appearance has not changed much, save for the fact that both her body curves and hourglass figure have become more pronounced. She also appears to have grown taller, as she appears to be just slightly shorter than Robin now (although they are both wearing high heels). Her outfit after the timeskip consists of a revealing green and white bikini halter top, low-rider jeans (that expose some of her hips), orange high-heeled sandals, and a pair of pearl-like earrings.

The Pirate Hunter

Luffy and Koby arrive at Naval Base Island. Koby is hoping to sign up with the navy, while Luffy looking to recruit Roronoa Zolo into his pirate crew. Things don't seem to be right on the island. Everyone on the seems to be just as terrified of Captain Morgan, leader of the base, as they are of Zolo. They have good reason to, Morgan is little more than a paranoid, ruthless tyrant, and his selfish, spoiled-rotten son had Zolo imprisoned under dubious charges. And in the process of rescuing Zolo from his false imprisonment and eventual execution, Luffy and Koby end up getting on Morgan's bad side! How will our heroes escape this mess?

Coby has a dream of becoming a Marine/Navy officer. He tells Luffy about a scary bounty hunter being held by the marines named "Rononoa Zolo," the demon" with a sword who kills mercilessly. Luffy decides he's going to recruit Zolo, to Coby's horror, but they continue to make their way to the Navy base.
Coby thinks that Zolo would be in the holding pens underneath the base, but Zolo is outside, tied to a post, roasting in the sun. Zolo sees Luffy and Coby and tells them to piss off, fully aware than anyone caught helping him will be put to death. Oblivious to the danger, however, is a little girl (Rika) who sneaks down into the courtyard and tries to give Zolo some onigiri (rice balls) she had made herself. She's caught by Helmeppo, the commander's son, who steals her onigiri and grosses out, since she made them with sugar and not salt. He has Rika literally thrown up and out of the courtyard, her onigiri squished into the dirt by Helmeppo's foot.
Luffy manages to catch Rika and then scrambles over to chit chat with Zolo. Zolo tells him to piss off again, and Luffy ignores him, asking him to join his crew. Zolo ignores him, and asks Luffy to give him the onigiri. Luffy does, reluctantly, since it is more mud than food, but Zolo eats it. Zolo tells him to piss off because he just has to survive the month and he'll go free. Luffy demands that Zolo join his crew, and Zolo gets pissed and tells him he will never be a filthy pirate.
Confused, but determined, Luffy and Coby find out that Zolo is being imprisoned for saving Rika's life. Helmeppo, the jerk, was walking his wolf when it tried to attack and kill Rika. Zolo intervened and killed the wolf, scaring Helmeppo. Helmeppo threatened to have Rika and her mother killed for Zolo's insubordination, so Zolo bargained for their lives. While Rika is telling Luffy and Coby this tale, Helmeppo is eating dinner at Rika's restaurant. They over hear Helmeppo plotting to kill Zolo the next day. Enraged by the deception, Luffy punches the CRAP out of Helmeppo, making him cry like a 4-y/o girl with a skinned knee.
Luffy and Coby rush back to Zolo, Luffy making it first and Luffy tells Zolo he's going to be a crew member. Zolo screams for Luffy not to make decisions on his own, but Luffy just nods and says, "If I get your sword back will you join?" Zolo doesn't precisely say yes, but Luffy takes it as yes, and decides to look for the sword. Zolo yells at him that there's no way that Luffy could get in and survive the encounter with the marines. Luffy ignores him, saying "Yoshi" and wanders off to find Zolo's sword, which Helmeppo had taken.
Meanwhile, Major Morgan is having a statue of himself erected on top of the base. He kills one his men for questioning him, and tells the whining Helmeppo that he had never hit him because he wasn't worth hitting (ouch...). He's about to kill a careless marine who accidentally bumped the statue against the wall, when Luffy comes flying over the base.
In trying to get into the base, Luffy overshoots (as usual) and hits the commander's newly completed statue, which he accidentally breaks in half.
In the commotion and horror, Luffy steals Helmeppo and runs, while Major Morgan screams bloody murder, sees someone ELSE in the courtyard aside from Zolo, decides it a rebellion, and orders his marines to kill them all. Coby has snuck into the courtyard to try and free Zolo, but Zolo tries to stop him. Coby tells him what he and Luffy heard and how Luffy had punched Helmeppo, while the crying Coby begs Zolo to help Luffy because Luffy is strong, but with Zolo he'd be even stronger.
He tells Zolo he doesn't want him to be a pirate, but that Luffy saved his life, and that Luffy wants to be the Pirate King no matter what. Anguish and anger appear to collide in Zolo while he digests these facts. While still trying to untie Zolo, Coby doesn't notice the slew of marines that have gathered and are getting ready to shoot both he AND Zolo.

Monkey D' Luffy

Luffy got his head caught in the break of a giant bird who took him all the way to a seaport town. He was finally free and made a crash landing on the street. Where he encounters Naomi(a pirate hating female thief who only steals from pirates) and a group of pirates who were chasing her. Naomi pretended that Luffy was her boss, so that way the pirates can beat him up instead of her. But Luffy took them down with no problem at all. Naomi was impressed that Luffy handled the fight pretty well. So she gives him info that those pirates who were chasing her, work for Captain Buggy, a twisted clown pirate who's taken over the entire seaport town. She asks him to do her a favor which is a plan in getting Buggy's treasure & a map to the "Grand Line". And Luffy will need to be tied up for part of Naomi's scheme in getting close to both the map & treasure. After convincing the pirates that she wants to be part of their crew in exchange for putting the blame on her "boss". Buggy excepts her as one of them. But Naomi is going to be tested on her loyalty by blasting a "Buggy Bomb" canon at Luffy(who is imprisoned in a small cage). Naomi doesn't want to hurt Luffy, but doesn't want to miss the chance in getting what she wants. As for Luffy, he finds Naomi: a self-professed master thief that may make a great comrade of his crew.

Bounties

Though they are pirates in name, the Straw Hat Pirates do not engage in the stereotypical activities of pirates. In fact, before the Enies Lobby arc, when CP9 initiated the conflict by blackmailing Nico Robin and detaining her, the Straw Hats mostly fought only other pirates (with the exception of Luffy and Zoro, who took down the dreaded Axe Hand Morgan and several of his unwilling subordinates, and Sanji, who beat up Fullbody and possibly some other unfortunate Marines prior to becoming an official Straw Hat) - it seems they were considered dangerous to the World Government and given bounties simply because they called themselves pirates.
They are considered villains by the World Government and the general public who aren't familiar with them. While this is a hassle for them, like most other pirates, the majority of the Straw Hats see their bounties as a form of achievement, a sign of how much fame and recognition their actions have produced. Nami notes that, as pirates, they are used to taking blame and being portrayed as the villains. Their current bounties total up to Bsymbol.gif800,000,050.
